“Hortensias del Cabogana”, is a hydrangea plantation located Cuenca, province of Azuay, just 10 km from the historic sector of the city.

The company takes its name from the mountain, which is part of the Macizo del Cajas and which shelters the plantation located at 2,850 meters above sea level.
Hortensias began its activities in November 2015 as a venture of its owners Bernardo Toral and Rosana Vega. It is currently an established company, has 12,500 plants in production and supplies the national market, and in 2021, their export process began.

Mr. Toral has been running the flower-selling business successfully throughout this time. Since the pandemic, there have been changes in the way tourism is managed; customers now come in small groups, which motivated him and his family to expand their offer by opening the doors of the plantation to the public to create unique experiences for them.
Hortensias del Cabogana invites you to have an unforgettable experience which combines the five senses, where you can enjoy a guided tour of the plantation, learn very interesting facts about these ornamental plants and, at the end, taste unique Andean culinary flavors. Different tourist packages have been organized to enjoy with family or friends, all subject to prior reservation.
