The procession of the steps is a significant religious event that revives more than 30 years ago, where every Holy Tuesday, each of the moments and episodes of the Passion, represented in each step or set of religious sculptures, was exhibited in a tour.
This Tuesday, March 26, 8 impressive steps or groups of sculptures, representing scenes, from the prayer in the Garden of Olives to the Descension, will leave on a tour, all along with several bands of seasonal music.

7 Churches Tour - Holy Week in Cuenca

This tour is another of the entrenched traditions of the Catholic religion, which invites faithful and visitors to tour seven different churches, symbolizing the seven places where Jesus was taken after his arrest.
This Holy Thursday, March 28, the attention in all the churches of the Historic Center will be until 24:00, so that all who can make this Christian journey. In this 2024, 8 temples will be illuminated:
On Holy Thursday on foot, Simón Bolívar Street will be pedestrianized from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Tourist and Cultural Circuit in Simón Bolívar Street
This Thursday, March 28, Simon Bolivar Street in the section between Luis Cordero Street and Coronel Talbot Street, and Sucre Street in Padre Aguirre and Benigno Malo, will be routes of exclusive use to walk from 17:30 to 23:30.
On the pedestrian streets, several cultural tourist activities will be developed to encourage walking.
