On September 21st and 22nd, Cuenca will host the “V International Event Planners Summit, Ecuador 2022”, an event in which experts will update and train attendees in the organization of social events.
Over the last few years, Cuenca has hosted important events and weddings thanks to its wonderful settings and quality services, ideal not only for tying the knot but also for romantic getaways, marriage proposals, honeymoons, photo shoots, and more.
The successful promotion of the city in the country and abroad has positioned Cuenca as a great destination for weddings and other events, so Event Planners Peru, a brand that had already held the summit four times in Lima, chose Cuenca as the venue for its fifth edition.
For two consecutive days, the summit will be an open platform that will provide the opportunity to learn the best practices from 15 experts from different countries, whose conferences will be held at the Sucre Theater and will be broadcast via streaming.
In addition to training event planners on how to improve their projects in a demanding market that needs innovation and specialized services, the Summit aims to “combine tourism services and events, such as weddings,” and thus set in motion the gears of the market focusing on training, innovation, and reactivation.
The certification for the participants of the event is endorsed by Universidad del Azuay and its School of Tourism.
At the end of the conferences, attendees will enjoy a night city tour, an haute couture fashion show by international designers, a showroom of specialized suppliers, a closing party, and a traditional Cuenca night.
“The ‘V Event Planners International Summit’ is a city project, that is why we, at the City Hall of Cuenca and the Municipal Foundation of Tourism, support and promote it from and beyond the city, encourage the reactivation of tourism, and promote professional training by international experts, in order to turn Cuenca into a privileged romantic destination and give visibility to all event planners who are ready to receive demanding customers, such as millennial couples,” said Maria Angelica León, executive director of the Municipal Foundation of Tourism.
