From September 21 to 22, Cuenca will host the “V International Event Planners Summit – Ecuador Edition”, an event where experts will update and train attendees on the trends of event industry.
Over recent years, Cuenca has been the venue for important events and weddings thanks to its wonderful settings and quality services which allow not only to strengthen ties of love, but also to have the perfect place for romantic getaways, engagements, honeymoons, photo shoots and more.
The successful promotion of the destination at a national and international level has established Cuenca as an event destination, which is why Event Planners Peru, a brand that has produced four editions of this event in Lima, has chosen Cuenca as the official venue for the V Edition.
For two consecutive days, the V International Event Planners Summit – Ecuador Edition will be a platform that will provide the opportunity to learn from the best practices and experiences of 15 national and international experts, whose conferences will be face-to-face and virtual at the Sucre Theater.
In addition to training event organizers to improve their proposals in this new demanding market that seeks innovation and specialized services, the V International Event Planners Summit aims to “conjugate tourism and events in services” such as Bodas de Destino, and this way starting to move the gears of the market towards a single goal: to train, innovate and reactivate.
The certification for the participants of the event will have the endorsement of the University of Azuay and its School of Tourism.
At the closing of the conferences, attendees will be able to enjoy a night city tour, a haute couture parade with national and international designers, a showroom of specialized suppliers and a closing party where they’ll enjoy a traditional evening in Cuenca.

We promote turning Cuenca into a privileged romance destination, giving visibility to the entire offer of event and tourism providers that are ready to receive a high demand of clients such as the current millennial couples”, said María Angélica León, executive director of the Municipal Foundation of Tourism.
